macOS app
Liquid Agent
A private AI agent for your Mac. It runs LFM3 1.7B and LFM3 Omni 2B on your own computer, so it can chat, listen, talk back and get things done without anything leaving your Mac.
What it does
An AI agent that lives on your Mac, not on someone else's server.
Ask it something, or ask it to do something. It runs commands, reads and writes files, searches the web, sets reminders, uses the clipboard and clicks around websites, and you choose how much it may do without asking first.
- 01
Paste one line
The installer puts the app in ~/.liquid-agent, adds Liquid Agent to Applications and gives you a liquid-agent command.
- 02
Pick a size
The setup screen opens at 127.0.0.1:8170. Choose what to download and Smaller, Balanced or Best.
- 03
Chat or talk
Type, drop in files and pictures, or use your voice. It picks the right model for each message.
- 04
Set the leash
Ask for Approval, Approve for Me or Full Auto. Every action it takes lands in Activity.
Why Liquid Agent
Private
The server only listens on this Mac and wants a token that changes every launch. Chats, memory and files stay on your disk.
Thinks, or doesn't
LFM3 1.7B reasons before it answers. Turn Think off under the message box when you want a quick reply.
Safety you pick
Approve for Me uses the small Auto 200M model to approve safe actions and ask you about the rest.
Install it
$ curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/morriszdweck/liquid-agent/main/install.sh | bash $ liquid-agent update # get the newest version $ liquid-agent stop # stop it
You need
An Apple silicon Mac with macOS 14 or later, and about 4 GB free (1.1 GB if you only want text chat).
Afterwards
Open it from Applications or Spotlight, or run liquid-agent. Settings, Downloads switches model sizes or any GGUF quant.
From source
Clone the repo and double-click Liquid Agent.command, or run npm ci, npm run build and npm start.
